According to the Associated Press, a "Osprey" transport aircraft carrying White House staff and government officials in the United States had to interrupt its journey on the 25th due to safety issues. Witnesses reported flames appearing below the right engine of the "Osprey." The "Osprey" belongs to the U.S. Marine Corps and was originally scheduled to transport White House staff and government officials accompanying President Biden to an event on Staten Island in New York City. The passengers later transferred to another "Osprey" to continue their journey. Recent investigations by the U.S. media into incidents involving the "Osprey" have revealed numerous safety and design issues. On the 25th, several U.S. congressmen sent a letter to Secretary of Defense Austin requesting the grounding of the military's V-22 "Osprey" fleet until these issues are resolved.
