Gate will launch the WBTC/USDT trading pair on September 17.
[Chain News] The cryptocurrency exchange Gate announced on its official blog that it will launch the Wrapped Bitcoin ( WBTC ) trading pair on September 17.
WBTC is an ERC-20 token, with each WBTC token pegged to the value of 1 Bitcoin. It allows Bitcoin holders to use their BTC on the Ethereum network, thus participating in DeFi applications.
Gate announces that it will support the WBTC/USDT trading pair. Users can start depositing WBTC on September 17 at 10:00 (UTC) and trading will commence on the same day at 10:30 (UTC).
The launch of WBTC will provide Gate users with more trading options and also help increase the liquidity of WBTC. As the DeFi ecosystem continues to develop, cross-chain assets like WBTC are becoming increasingly important.
