Metaplanet announces an additional $5 billion in capital aimed at a target of 210,000 Bitcoins.
On June 24, Metaplanet Inc. announced that the company's board of directors has approved an additional capital of up to $5.000 billion to its wholly-owned U.S. subsidiary, Metaplanet Treasury Corp (located in Florida). It aims to strengthen the global Bitcoin treasury management business and improve the execution ability of the international market. With the successful completion of the initial capitalization phase, the company has now entered a more aggressive expansion phase. The additional capital will significantly accelerate the company's $555 million plan, announced on June 6, 2025, and further implement Metaplanet's long-term strategy to become a global leader in Bitcoin vault management. Metaplanet aims to hold 210,000 Bitcoin by the end of 2027. The impact of this capital increase on the Company's consolidated financial results for the current fiscal year is expected to be limited. If there is any significant progress, the company will disclose it in a timely manner.
