According to Mars Finance, on May 10, as reported by the Singapore-based Lianhe Zaobao on May 9, about a month after the U.S. government imposed export restrictions on NVIDIA's H20 artificial intelligence (AI) chips, it is reported that NVIDIA plans to launch a downgraded version of the H20 for the Chinese market within the next two months. Reuters, on May 9, cited three sources saying that NVIDIA has notified its major Chinese customers, including giants in the cloud computing sector, that it plans to release a modified H20 chip in July. It is reported that NVIDIA has established new technical thresholds to guide the design of the modified chip. According to informed sources, these specifications will significantly downgrade the chip's performance compared to the original H20, including a substantial drop in memory capacity. (Jin10)
