At the MetaConnect event held in California on September 25th, Zuckerberg first demonstrated Orion, which uses a micro-projector built into the glasses arm to create a heads-up display, making the display appear as if it is on real-world objects. Zuckerberg raised the new AR glasses and said, "Now, I think the right way to look at Orion is as a time machine." He added, "These glasses do exist, they're really great, and they show us an exciting future." Orion can be controlled through voice prompts, but Zuckerberg also referred to the device as a 'neural interface' that can be controlled through a wearable device on the wrist. Orion users can make specific gestures while wearing the wristband to navigate and control applications on the smart glasses.
