The Congo (DRC) rebel group claims to have started a new round of dialogue with the government.

Jin10 data reported on July 4th that the anti-government armed group "M23 Movement" stated on the 3rd in Goma, the capital of North Kivu Province in eastern Congo (Kinshasa), that they will start a new round of dialogue with the Congolese government in Doha, the capital of Qatar. M23 Movement's dialogue representative Mbonginpa said at a press conference that day that they would engage in the fifth round of dialogue with the Congolese government under the mediation of Qatar. However, he did not announce the specific time for the dialogue. Mbonginpa stated that the "M23 Movement" has repeatedly called for signing a ceasefire agreement with the Congolese government before initiating the new round of dialogue, but this request was rejected by the government.
