Ukraine claims that Russia has launched the largest drone airstrike since 2022.

Jin10 reported on May 18 that Ukrainian authorities stated earlier on Sunday that, as of 8 AM local time, Russia had launched 273 drones, primarily targeting central Kyiv as well as the Dnipropetrovsk and Donetsk regions in the east of the country. According to data provided by the Ukrainian Air Force, this is the largest drone attack by Russia on Ukraine since 2022, resulting in the death of one woman in the Kyiv region and at least three others injured. Russia and Ukraine held their first direct talks in three years on Friday, but failed to achieve a temporary ceasefire that Kyiv and its allies have been urging.
