Taiwanese legislator Ko Ju-Chun called on the government to include Bitcoin in diversified reserves alongside gold and foreign exchange reserves.

A proposal for a change centered on Bitcoin has emerged in Taiwan to strengthen economic balance. Ko emphasized that Bitcoin has long-term value preservation potential and could make Taiwan’s economy more resilient in the face of international financial uncertainties. Unlike traditional investments, Bitcoin, as a digital asset, can play an important role in diversifying financial portfolios.

Bitcoin is considered a safe haven against global economic uncertainties thanks to its decentralized structure. Cryptocurrencies are expected to gain a broader place in the financial system in the future, and countries like Taiwan may combine these digital assets with traditional reserves to strengthen their economic stability. This situation could pave the way for the increasing acceptance of Bitcoin's value and usage.
