IOTA Infrastructure Supports Secure AI for Healthcare with 96% Accuracy in Disease Detection - Crypto News Flash

  • AI models trained locally using IOTA and IPFS, updates logged immutably with zero fees, no intermediaries.
  • Decentralized votes filter bad data, models hit 96% accuracy without exposing patient records or transfers.

IOTA’s infrastructure now supports a medical AI system that prevents the transfer of sensitive patient information. The setup allows multiple organizations to train models without revealing raw data. It utilizes IOTA’s Tangle and IPFS to manage updates, eliminating the need for central authorities. Every contribution is recorded permanently and without any transaction fees.

Participants train models within their own systems. When updates are ready, they post them to a shared, decentralized ledger. The wider group reviews each one through a voting process to decide if it should be accepted. This helps block low-quality or tampered updates from affecting the shared model. Each submission is logged and can be tracked, which prevents misuse while keeping private data off the table.

One model built this way can identify diseases using clinical text and reached 96% accuracy without any data being shared. Another tool applied this model to label medical documents with the right diagnostic codes. A third was trained to respond to medical questions using only answers generated by LLaMA and BioGPT.

Medical AI Built Without Sharing a Single Patient Record

IOTA’s technology proved reliable in both technical use and in cooperative efforts that required trust. Operating without a central authority and using privacy-respecting methods, the system stays transparent. Any uploads to the Tangle are logged permanently and can be checked at any time. This allows a way to build healthcare AI tools without putting personal data at risk.

These advancements mark a shift for IOTA’s role beyond payment services. By offering a system that supports sensitive uses like healthcare, the project shows its wider applicability. Sensitive data are not passed between agencies, meeting strict privacy standards typical in medicine.

Currently, IOTA is trading at around $0.247, indicating 5% increase in the last 24 hours. Its daily volume remains over $40 million, with total market capitalization at $967 million. These indicate rising demand by investors, likely connected to new technical advances, as well as global developments.

IOTA Expands in U.S. and Asia While Supporting Battery Traceability

In the recent update, CNF reported that IOTA is also increasing its geographical footprint. It is establishing an official office in the United States in order to acquire a toehold in the largest global economy. Likewise, it has joined the Singapore Digital Assets Association, increasing its footprint in Asia through membership in associations with banks and regulators.

Aside from healthcare, IOTA also aids the recycling industry. GLC Recycle applied a Digital Product Passport on the Orobo platform and signed it with the IOTA Tangle. The system verifies information about end-of-life batteries in a manner that ensures the lifecycle data remains intact. It meets European standards such as the ESPR and the EU Battery Regulation.

DPP allows for real-time monitoring, offering a system that can be traced. It suits industries that require strong audit trails. With such applications in the environment and the medical field, IOTA has promising prospects of growing much wider than its original area of concern.
