Mysten Labs announces integration with PassKeys, and in the future, SUI will be open for use with Face ID, fingerprint approval of Smart Contract
The SUI public chain user experience has recently welcomed another major upgrade, as Kostas, co-founder of Mysten Labs, announced that the SUI chain will introduce PassKeys. This means that users can sign contracts using Face ID or fingerprints. However, at the current stage, it is only available on the developer network, but there is also hope to bring this Web2-like user experience to a wider range of users in the future.
Mysten Labs integrates Face ID and fingerprint authentication
Kostas said that the PassKeys feature has been added to the Sui Network SDK. Currently, developers and users of the network can use Face ID, fingerprint, QR code, and other methods to log in to the Sui wallet and sign contracts.
From the case of Moonshot, it can be found that many insiders do not pay much attention to the small user experience improvement, which can actually greatly reduce the threshold for outsiders to enter the circle, so such integration close to Web2 experience can increase more opportunities for SUI to break the circle.
SUI User Experience Upgrade! Approving smart contracts is as easy as using Apple Pay
Specifically, users can generate a QR code in the wallet on the computer side, and then use the mobile device to scan it, to bind Face ID or fingerprint on the mobile device. After successful binding, the mobile device side can use Face ID or fingerprint to approve smart contracts.
