Musk's xAI offers free access to Grok-2 for all X users, three new highlighted features at a glance
Elon Musk's AI startup xAI announced today that it is officially offering the Grok-2 model for free to all users on X, and introduced three major new features. According to xAI, Grok 2 has added three highlighted features: Search results and citations, Draw me, and Analyze with Grok. Additionally, xAI has released the Grok button, a new feature that will appear on the timeline of your main page posts. This button is designed to help you discover relevant background information, understand real-time events, and delve into popular discussions. However, regular users still have certain usage restrictions for free use. For example, they can only make up to 10 queries with Grok-2 every two hours, or up to 20 queries with the Grok-2 mini model every two hours, and can only perform a maximum of 3 image analysis answers per day. In addition, to use the Grok function for free, a regular user account must be open for at least 7 days and a set of personal phone number must be entered. Grok 3 is expected to be released in December. Musk's xAI officially launched its super AI cluster 'Colossus' in September, which is touted as the most powerful AI training system in the world. It is composed of 100,000 Nvidia H100 GPUs and is expected to significantly improve the training speed of the Grok model. Musk has previously revealed that xAI will launch 'Grok 3' in December.
