While the rally in Solana (SOL) has spread to the ecosystem, investors' searches for "Solana" on Google have surpassed Ethereum (ETH).
According to Google Trends data, Solana searches have surpassed Ethereum for the first time in 2023. Throughout the year, Ethereum was ahead of Solana in search interest by a large margin. However, after Dec. 17, Solana's search interest reached 56, while Ethereum remained at 50.
While Solana has been in a wild bullish rally since October, it has made many investors rich in tokens in the ecosystem. Since then, dozens of meme coins and Solana-based altcoin projects have experienced more than a thousandfold increase. This, in turn, has triggered an increase in investor interest in Solana.
Investors are thought to be constantly using Google to research Solana-based cryptocurrencies. For this reason, it is estimated that it has recently gained fame against Ethereum.
In Google Trends data, the term Solana scored 100 exact between December 24 and December 30. 100 pu****an marks the most popular case of the term so far.
Solana is also more sought after than Ethereum in Turkey.
