The three major conditions for the world's largest hedging fund to invest in Bitcoin have been revealed.
Rebecca Patterson, the head of investment research at the world's largest hedge fund company, recently discussed the three key conditions that the company considers necessary for investing in Bitcoin during a television interview.
The primary condition is a significant reduction in Bitcoin's volatility. Patterson points out that the current volatility of Bitcoin is about ten times that of the US dollar, and even higher than that of the Venezuelan currency. She emphasizes that in order to become a diversified investment tool, Bitcoin must first enhance its stability.
Secondly, the Bitcoin market needs to have higher liquidity. Finally, a clear regulatory framework is also essential. Patterson believes that as the regulatory system surrounding Bitcoin and other digital currencies gradually improves, it will attract a more diverse group of investors to participate, thereby enhancing market liquidity and reducing price volatility. She particularly emphasized the importance of regulatory certainty but is cautious about when the United States will establish a clear regulatory framework.
Although Patterson does not consider Bitcoin to be a traditional form of currency, she stated that over time, Bitcoin may evolve into a "digital gold."
This top hedge fund, established in 1975, currently manages over $150 billion in assets. Notably, the company's founder publicly praised Bitcoin last month as "a remarkable innovation" and stated that it "deserves our in-depth study."
