In the Web3 space, identification has always been a tricky issue. Recently, a project called Solo is attempting to solve this problem through its unique zkHE architecture. Solo aims to build a "trusted anonymous" on-chain identification system, which could be the key to breaking the long-standing "Unholy Trinity" in the Web3 realm — finding a balance between privacy protection, ensuring identity uniqueness, and achieving Decentralization verifiability.
Recently, the Solo project secured $1.2 million in Pre-Seed funding, led by Draper Associates with participation from Velocity Capital. Additionally, Brian Retford, the founder of RISC Zero, and Matt Katz, the founder of Caldera, joined this round of financing as strategic investors. This successful funding further enhances Solo's position in the Web3 identification space.
The core team of the Solo project is strong. The CEO, Edison, attended Yale University's Business School, where he co-founded the Yale Business School Blockchain Society and organized the first Yale Blockchain Summit. Edison is full of confidence in the prospects of the Solo project, and for this reason, he even chose to drop out of school to fully devote himself to the development of the project.
The other two co-founders of the project, Stephen and Sissi, are both professors at Shenzhen University, with deep expertise in their respective fields. Stephen is one of the early contributors to the Ethereum Foundation and has extensive experience in blockchain technology. Sissi, on the other hand, focuses on research in the field of artificial intelligence, bringing an innovative perspective of AI technology to the project.
The emergence of the Solo project has provided new ideas for solving the challenges of Web3 identification. It not only has the potential to change existing identification models but may also pave the way for further development in Web3. As the project progresses, we look forward to seeing more innovative solutions emerge in the Web3 space, driving the entire industry forward.
