The Ethereum (ETH) market is experiencing an unprecedented wave of institutional investment, which could trigger a significant rise in its price. According to Bitwise's analysis, ETH is expected to attract over $20 billion in institutional funds within the next year, which could lead to a severe imbalance in market supply and demand.
In the past month, institutional investors have purchased over 2.8 million ETH. Since May, the total inflow of funds related to ETH ETFs has exceeded 5 billion USD. Currently, the market capitalization of ETH is only 19% of Bitcoin (BTC), while the assets managed by its ETFs are only 12% of BTC.
Matt Hougan, Chief Investment Officer of Bitwise, stated: "The demand for ETH far exceeds its new supply, and this imbalance will drive up prices and increase market activity."
Several key factors driving the ETH bull market include:
1. The official circulation of spot Ethereum ETFs has recently reached a single-day capital inflow of 210 million USD.
2. Some companies have started to include ETH in their government bond allocation strategies.
3. The adoption of ETH at the enterprise level is in a similar early stage as that of BTC, and this trend has not yet fully reflected in its valuation.
Market forecasts show that the potential supply-demand ratio of ETH has reached 7:1, far exceeding the current market structure of Bitcoin, laying the foundation for the next stage of price explosion for ETH.
However, investors may focus on the following questions: Which companies are buying large amounts of ETH? What impact has the ETF had on ETH liquidity? Does the influx of institutional funds signal that the price of ETH will break through $10,000?
As the institutional investment craze continues, the Ethereum market may face significant changes. Investors should closely monitor market dynamics and assess potential risks and opportunities.
