Repeatedly mentioning Aave, besides the Auto-Invest ETH, this round of buying the dip AAVE is about to break through the previous high, with profits around 50%... Of course, I will continue to hold.
AAVE has also become my largest personal holding in altcoins, and the reason for holding it is very simple:
1. AAVE is currently the highest in TVL among all Defi protocols, and it continues to increase steadily. The TVL of lending protocols is not useless; rather, it can truly reflect the prosperity of this protocol based on the amount of deposits. Both institutions and retail investors are willing to deposit their money, leading in the Lend sector with a market share of 60%, essentially doing the business that banks always profit from.
2. The annual revenue of the protocol this year is approximately 100 million USD, with costs being just operational costs, corresponding to a market value of around 5 billion USD. In the context of Web3, this is considered high cost-performance, and the key point is that no one holds a large amount of chips, with unlocks being negligible, and even the project team itself does not have much.
3. Aave will repurchase 1 million USD worth of AAVE in a week, tentatively until October this year.
The above 3 points are the "defensive points" for buying.
4. The "attack point" lies in ---
At this time, three expectations will emerge:
(1) The staking safety module of the AAVE token may earn protocol dividends, and currently, staking earns AAVE tokens;
(2) AAVE's lending will attract more traditional financial institutions to participate, as the yields provided by AAVE are quite good, and borrowing is instantaneous, which is very convenient;
(3) The continuous issuance of stablecoins should have demands for wealth management and financial use in addition to payment and trading (Perp DEX), and Aave is the best choice.
So I personally feel that it is still a stage to increase positions when the price dips.
- So when can we sell? (excluding black swan events)
Of course, it's a situation where both the defensive and offensive points change: with the "Clear Act" falling through, and in October the official announcement of the cancellation of the buyback, I will sell without hesitation. As for the mentioned partnership with Ethena, those are irrelevant; the most important thing is that the fundamentals of the token cannot change.
Finally, I recommend a comprehensive data website that observes the Aave project; it covers a lot.
I wonder what other expectations the teachers have to support holding AAVE?
