According to Deep Tide TechFlow news on May 10, Reuters reported that Saudi Arabia is delaying its formal accession to the BRICS organization to avoid angering the United States. Two informed sources revealed that although Saudi Arabia was invited to join the organization in 2023 and participated in last week's BRICS meeting in Brazil, and is listed as a member on the organization's website, Saudi Arabia has not yet formally confirmed its membership.

Saudi Arabia's hesitation stems from its delicate relationship between China (its largest oil exporter) and the United States (its security and technology partner). The U.S. plans to provide Saudi Arabia with a $100 billion arms deal.
In December last year, Trump warned that if BRICS countries created a new currency or supported the replacement of the dollar with other currencies, a 100% tariff would be imposed on all BRICS countries.
