Samson Mow, the founder of Jan3, plans to promote Bitcoin in France.

Gate News bot news, Samson Mow, founder of Jan3, is advancing his goal to accelerate the adoption of Bitcoin in Europe. His latest move comes after a promising meeting with French lawmaker Sarah Knafo in BTC Prague. Mow stated on X (formerly Twitter) that he hopes to spark a nationwide wave of Bitcoin adoption in France and across Europe. This means France may soon become one of the countries proposing to use Bitcoin in its national budget plans.

Mow and Knafo have met and are discussing how to establish a strategic Bitcoin reserve in France. This idea is similar to El Salvador's approach, which has adopted Bitcoin as legal tender. They also mentioned the possibility of drafting regulations that would benefit Bitcoin and its ecosystem during their discussions. European Parliament member Knafo warmly invited Mow Yongquan and his team to visit France for in-depth discussions on these possibilities.

Shortly after the meeting, Knafo posted a message about the meeting on her X account. She stated that the meeting was very impressive and praised Mow for serving as an advisor to the President of El Salvador and other national leaders. In return, France must play a leading role in effectively addressing these issues. She also revealed the future development direction and mentioned that some new projects would soon be announced in France and throughout Europe.

Part of the reason is that Knafo not only met with Mow but also had a meeting with Michael Saylor, the founder and executive chairman of Strategy (formerly MicroStrategy). She described Saylor as a "visionary and ambitious" person and was impressed by his attitude towards Bitcoin. Her conversations with Saylor and Mow indicate that she is working to consult professionals to draft potential digital asset policies for France.

At the same time, France has also become a news focus due to the increasing popularity of Bitcoin. A blockchain group based in Paris recently purchased 624 Bitcoins, paying 60.2 million euros (approximately 68.7 million dollars). This has increased its Bitcoin holdings to 1,471 BTC, indicating a significant financial investment in cryptocurrency. This move shows that companies are increasingly interested in digital assets, especially in the European technology and finance sectors.

However, not all progress is positive. Recently, the French National Assembly rejected a proposal to study Bitcoin mining as an alternative use for surplus electricity. This proposal, put forward by 123 members of the National Rally party, aimed to investigate whether mining could help fill the electricity gap in cases of excess nuclear power generation. The proposal was not intended to develop mining projects, but rather to propose a research suggestion, similar to what the large French digital asset group Adan suggested. Although the proposal was cautious in its approach, the members of parliament still voted against it.

However, those who were personally involved in making many legal decisions have strongly protested this. As the attention of legislators like Knafo and business leaders continues to rise, France may be developing a deeper interest in Bitcoin. With the implementation of Bitcoin, the concepts proposed by Karen Mok will position France as a leader in the European digital finance sector.

Finally, recent announcements and meetings indicate that France's attitude towards Bitcoin is gradually changing, but regulatory issues still exist. A large number of digital currencies and businesses are emerging in the market, making the popularity of Bitcoin at the European country level closer than ever before.
